Boys and the Frog Story
Once upon a time there lived some boys in a small village. There was a pond in the end of their village. One day they were playing at the edge of a pond in which lived a family of frogs. The boys amused themselves by throwing stones into the pond so as to make them skip on top of the water. They were very happy to doing these types of naughtiness.
The stones were flying solid and fast and the boys were enjoying themselves very much; but the poor frogs in the pond were trembling with fear. Some of them already died with this hard stone.

One Scary Night
It was winter. Once I was returning home from my friend's house. It was a lonely place. Two of my friends were with me. On the way, we felt tired. Suddenly, I saw an old, lonely house. I said to Ramesh, "It would be better to spend a night here." But Suresh said, "Nobody lives in this house. It won't be so good to stay here." It soon became dark all around the place. We went into the house. By 12 o'clock at night, I heard some voices outside the room. Some bats and owls flew away. It made the atmosphere eerie. Ramesh, Suresh, and I went outside and found nothing. I was nervous but Ramesh tried to make it easy. I hardly knew how the time rolled away. Somehow, we managed to sleep covering our faces with our shawl. In the morning we woke up and reached home. It was really a moment full of suspense and horror.
ACTIVITY 14
Write a paragraph on a magic show. Use the following points.
Yesterday a magic show was held in the big hall of our school. There were many students. Wearing a shining dress with a turban a great magician, Ajit Pyne, performed his tricks. All of us were very excited to watch the show. Among all the tricks I liked "magic box", "vanishing milk", "paper show", "water of India" and "card game". We all watched him playing tricks one by one. At the end of each scheme, we all clapped in joy. I was really interested to learn some magic. At the end of the show, I tried to perform certain tricks by myself. But I was not as good as he was. I went home in a jolly mood. I would never forget the magic show I saw in school.
